Gladstone APLNG Tanks (Forgegroup)
APLNG saw the creation of coal seam gas (CSG) fields in Queensland's Surat and Bowen basins and a pipeline to an LNG plant on Curtis Island, situated off the coast of Gladstone. The project was valued at AU$23 billion, which brought together a joint venture between three industry leaders in the fields of coal seam gas and liquefied natural gas production – Origin (37.5%), ConocoPhillips (37.5%) and Sinopec (25%).
Bosnafix’s scope of work for the APLNG tanks consisted of the following:
Installation of all reinforcement on two LNG full containment storage tanks which have a capacity of 160,000 cubic metres each.
Installation of all reinforcement on four tower crane bases.
Installation of all reinforcement on two stair tower foundations.
Total reinforcement tonnage 6000T.
A workforce of Supervisors and 50 steel fixers.
