RGP6 Jimblebar Project (Thiess)

The Jimblebar Mine is located 40 kilometres east of Newman. This development was set to become an iron ore processing plant that would see procurement of mining equipment and new rolling stock with a large capacity to bring BHP Billiton iron ore capacity to 220 million tonnes per annum. It’s project value was AU$3.6 billion and brought together a joint venture between BHP Billiton, ITOCHU Corporation and Mitsui.

Bosnafix was responsible for:

  • Installation of all reinforcement on primary & secondary crushers. 

  • Installation of all reinforcement on ball mills & AG Mills.

  • Installation of all reinforcement on train load out, stacker & reclaimer structures.

  • Installation of all reinforcement on screening areas structures.

  • Installation of all reinforcement on feeder tunnel structures & misc foundations. 

  • Total reinforcement tonnage 4500T.

  • Workforce of 2 Supervisor and 35 steelfixers.
